Introducing Our New Head Pupils – Leading with Pride at The Ryleys School

We are delighted to announce and warmly welcome our new Head Pupils for the academic year: Rowan A, Della B, and Hugo R. These three outstanding pupils have been selected to represent The Ryleys School as our student leaders—a role steeped in tradition, responsibility, and pride.

As Head Pupils, Rowan, Della, and Hugo will play OptimizedImage,,,Optimized an important part in school life throughout the year. Their responsibilities will include representing the student body at school events, leading assemblies, supporting staff with duties, welcoming visitors, and setting an excellent example for their peers across all year groups. Most importantly, they will be role models in upholding the values that lie at the heart of The Ryleys School—respect, kindness, perseverance, and integrity.

These pupils were chosen not only for their academic commitment and strong sense of responsibility, but also for the positive attitude and leadership qualities they consistently demonstrate in and outside the classroom. We are confident that they will wear their new badges with pride and carry out their roles with energy, humility, and maturity.

The position of Head Pupil has long been a significant honour at The Ryleys, with a legacy dating back to the school’s founding in 1877. Over the years, Head Pupils have played a vital part in shaping school culture and helping to build the strong sense of community that defines The Ryleys to this day. It is a tradition that reflects our commitment to nurturing leadership, character, and service in every child.

As they take on this important responsibility, Rowan, Della, and Hugo are following in the footsteps of many Ryleys pupils who have gone on to achieve great things, both in their education and beyond. We are excited to see how they will leave their own mark on the school this year.
