Global Schools Alliance Visit
On Thursday, seven international delegates from the Global Schools Alliance visited us in school to see what a traditional English preparatory education looks like.
The visitors came from Brazil, Lebanon, India, Peru and Cameroon and were all fascinated to experience our provision and facilities. It was very interesting to compare educational practice and settings from around the world. They particularly loved the history of the school, the uniform and beautiful displays, and, of course, our wonderfully welcoming and polite pupils.
One of the main purposes of the visit was to meet the representative from our sister school in Brazil. They hope to return during this academic year and bring some students, and we will also be organising a range of activities and sharing good practice. There is even an option of us taking a trip to Brazil!
Ultimately, it is hoped that this partnership will really help our pupils to develop a proper global perspective and open their eyes to new places. A global education doesn’t just prepare children for success in the future—it helps them grow into compassionate, informed, and responsible citizens today as well as developing cultural awareness, adaptability, and perspective needed to thrive in a diverse and rapidly changing society.
We are very excited for what the future holds with this new friendship, partnership and a world of possibilities.
