From The Head - Friday 7th June 2024

Julia Langford, Headteacher of The Ryleys School, a private school in Alderley Edge, Cheshire

It has been a very busy start to the final half term with a plethora of trips, meetings, fixtures and rehearsals for the Prep production of Oliver. This has set the tone and pace for the remaining weeks which are equally packed - there is hardly a day in the calendar without something happening!

Some of our most notable events occur at this time of year, and while we appreciate it puts a stretch on parents' diaries and the amount of time coming into school, these occasions are always memorable and poignant ones.

We really value parent attendance at all the events as sharing these times is an important part of the school community experience and it is worth remembering that even if your child isn't directly involved, everyone is welcome, be it weekly assemblies, productions, or sports day. Seeing what different parts of the school offer is really valuable in appreciating what the whole Ryleys' journey and experience offers, and what a diverse and inspirational provision it is.

The development from Early Years all the way through to Year 6 is quite incredible, and to witness that transition and see the children's confidence and self-belief flourish is very special; never is it more evident than when you see the children in action filled with pride.

As always, your support is truly appreciated and we hope to see you on several occasions over the coming weeks.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Julia Langford.
