Year One pupils at The Ryleys School, a private school in Cheshire, have been enjoying learning about the Russian artist Kandinsky and abstract artOur Year One pupils have been enjoying learning about the Russian artist Kandinsky and abstract art.

Mrs Harrison explained how the artist used organic, unusual shapes, and vivid colours to create his art and how the various shapes represented different meanings.

Kandinsky thought the triangle showed aggressive feelings, the square, calm feelings, and the circle, spiritual feelings.

The children enjoyed creating their own art and discovering different ways to disperse colours and shapes around their compositions inspired by Bell by Kandinsky.
