For almost 150 years, The Ryleys School has proudly inspired young minds in the heart of Alderley Edge — and as we approach our landmark anniversary year, we are excited to announce a significant programme of investment and development across the school.
Known for our small classes, specialist teaching, extensive facilities, exceptional pastoral care, and outstanding 11+ preparation, The Ryleys School continues to combine the benefits of a nurturing independent education with ambitious opportunities for every child.
Next Steps
Over the coming months, we will be:
- Expanding our Early Years provision while maintaining our small class approach
- Creating an extensive new outdoor Early Years area
- Building a dedicated Zen Den wellbeing space
- Investing in a beautiful new Early Years Atelier to inspire creativity
- Refreshing and modernising classrooms across the school
- Continuing to invest in the environment, opportunities and experiences we provide every day

Work has begun as The Ryleys School invests in its future
Painting and transformation work is already underway and, from the beginning of our anniversary year this September, these exciting developments will be fully up and running.
A huge thank you to our governors, leadership team and wider staff community for the vision, care and hard work that has gone into developing these plans over many months.
With demand already extremely strong and places limited, we would encourage families interested in joining The Ryleys School to arrange a personal visit and begin exploring future availability.
