From The Head - Friday 3rd October 2025
Over the past two weeks, we have been busily collecting food parcels for our annual harvest celebration and practising for our lovely assembly this morning. There was a fantastic turnout from parents to enjoy the occasion and the children relayed wonderful messages about how amazing and bountiful the world is in what it provides, and how important it is to be thankful for what we have.
The response of our school community for donations for two local food banks has been absolutely tremendous and we can't thank you enough for what you have given. It will make a significant difference to people living in our area who struggle to put a decent meal on the table each day. It is horrifying to think that any person has to live without basic provisions.
It would be an understatement to say that we are currently living in a less than harmonious world where each day brings new stories of human hatred and intolerance. Charity and compassion seem to be sadly lacking, not only in other countries, but on our own doorstep. Therefore, it is always heartening to see people come together and help others in need, demonstrating true community spirit.
Hopefully, our contributions to Wythenshawe Food Bank and Hope Central will go a small way to improving someone's life.
Thank you so much for your incredible generosity and kindness.
Enjoy your weekend with your families.
