A Remarkable Piece Of History

As we look ahead to celebrating 150 years of our history from September, it has been wonderful to receive some incredible historic report cards and letters from the family of former pupils John & Philip Mayall. They provide a fascinating snapshot of school life from years gone by and a reminder of just how much has changed in such a relatively short space of time.
John went on to become one of Britain's most influential musicians, widely recognised as the 'Godfather of British Blues', enjoying a remarkable career spanning almost seven decades and helping launch the careers of artists including Eric Clapton.

A huge thank you to the Mayall family for sharing this wonderful piece of our history. We look forward to uncovering and celebrating many more stories as we begin our 150th anniversary celebrations.
