Welcome To The Pre-School

In the term in which your child turns 3, they will take the next exciting step of their Ryleys journey into the Pre-School.

Pre-School is housed within its own classroom,

In the Pre-School class, the room is led by a qualified teacher and supported by at least one Early Years Practitioner.

Before your child starts Pre-School they should be able to use the toilet independently, be attempting to put their coat and shoes on and be familiar with using a knife and fork.

Key Person

As your child moves into Pre-School, their Key Person will become their class teacher. The class teacher will be the main point of contact for parents and will oversee the planning and monitoring of your child's learning and activities during the day.

We have three sessions available:

  • Morning session: (7.30am - 12.30pm, including a hot lunch) - £28
  • 7.30am - 4.30pm - £50
  • 7.30pm - 6.00pm - £58

We encourage children in Pre-School to take a minimum of four sessions per week.

Specialist Teaching

Children in the Pre-School enjoy specialist teaching for P.E., French, Dance and Swimming. This is of great benefit to the children, as when they move through to the Pre-Prep the children have already begun to build relationships with key members of the school staff and have experienced lessons within the school grounds. All children in the Pre-School will enjoy a weekly swimming lesson in the school pool during the summer term.
