Learning Enhancement

The Head, Staff and Governors are committed to supporting the learning, attainment and personal development of all pupils at The Ryleys.

The aim of our Learning Enhancement Department is to ensure that every child achieves their full potential.

The staff at The Ryleys regularly discuss the academic progress of children, and pastoral issues, and provide any important details to a member of the Learning Enhancement Department.

The Ryleys supports the four areas of needs according to the SEND Code of Practice.

Communication

If you have any concerns about your child’s educational development, please contact either the relevant subject teacher first to find out more and then, should they feel further discussion is needed, the Learning Enhancement Department will be in touch to arrange a meeting. If we have concerns about your child’s well being and feel the Learning Enhancement Department can assist, we will contact to make arrangements.

Additional Support

If we feel that more support is needed, we will contact parents to come in and discuss strategies which are relevant to their child. This may come in the form of support group work, additional short 1-1 sessions or further assessment of the child’s particular needs.

Following early identification, we work closely with parents and outside agencies in order to ensure that each child receives the necessary support enabling them to achieve to the very best of their abilities.

If out of school support is required such as additonal English language lessons  or one to one suport either in school or out of school, then there will be an additional charge.

This will be based on personal requirements.
