The Ryleys pupils continued their academic success in 2010 with all pupils moving on to a school of their choice, plus 7 pupils achieving scholarships including music, academic and all-rounder scholarships to prestigious local schools.

The Lollipop Fashion Show held last Saturday was a resounding success. The children took to the catwalk like true professionals and seemed to love every minute of it. Some of our braver staff and some parents also ‘walked the walk’ to huge cheers from the audience.

The annual fund-raising ‘Big Breakfast’ proved very popular again this year as a total of £937.10 was raised for The Christie Hospital.

Two lucky pupils spent the morning at the Porsche dealership in Handforth Dean. After a health and safety brief both boys were assigned to a mechanic and taken to the workshops to work on various models of Porsches.

For 23 Year 7 and 8 pupils from The Ryleys School, Alderley Edge, the school year was finished off in style with a trip to Normandy, France to see the historical sights and take in some of the French culture – and chocolate.

The Ryleys School in Alderley Edge will be attending this week's RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park to take part in the Cheshire schools growing competition; ' The Wonderful World of Vegetables ' with no less than 50 brightly coloured Wellington boots planted with all kinds of vegetables.

A day at school took on a whole new meaning for Tom Robinson, aged 7 from Prestbury, last week, when he became Headmaster for the day at The Ryleys School.
