Overseas Pupils

The Ryleys has always welcomed pupils from overseas, and we believe the school benefits from a rich diversity of cultural backgrounds.

With staff who are qualified to teach English as a foreign language, we are able to offer all the support overseas pupils need to be integrated quickly and successfully into the school community.

In recent years, we have welcomed  pupils from Brazil, Iceland, Japan, The Netherlands, Sweden, France, Germany, Poland, USA, Canada, Australasia and Iran.

In addition, each year, the staff are joined by 3 overseas Gap students from as far afield as South Africa, Australia and Zimbabwe. These young people, taking a year off between school and university, play a valuable part in school life of The Ryleys and are very popular with both pupils and parents.
