About the School
Why The Ryleys
Choosing the best school for your child is an integral
investment in their future success, and is one of the most
important decisions a parent faces. We believe that The
Ryleys offers an outstanding education, one that combines excellent
academic standards with opportunities to discover talents and
interests outside of the classroom.
Our teaching body consists of both class teachers and,
increasingly, from the age of 7 upwards, specialist subject
teaching staff, a combination designed to create an in-depth
learning environment and affording our pupils the expert resource
necessary to excel.
Specialist teachers at this level is a distinct advantage and,
at The Ryleys, we further build upon this privilege by ensuring
that our class sizes are of, on average, 16 pupils with a maximum
of 19. This creates a learning environment that is flexible and
responsive to your child's individual needs.
Our pupils have excelled in both the 11+ examinations to the
independent grammar schools and 13+ examinations to both day and
boarding schools. Every child is fully prepared for whichever they
might choose. Providing your child with the best possible start is
imperative and it is our belief that The Ryleys can support your
child for future success and happiness. Our pupils are well
prepared to enter the county's best independent schools at 11+ or
13+.
It is not just inside of the classroom that your child will be
nurtured and encouraged to develop new skills. The Ryleys also
offers an extensive range of extra-curricular activities. The
availability of such a range of options to your child means that
they have every opportunity to express, explore and develop their
character.
The Ryleys is a very well resourced school and is able to
provide an extensive range of purpose-built facilities. The
presence of these facilities is to ensure that your son or daughter
has the opportunity to explore their talents and develop new skills
in the best possible environment.
We believe in a perfectly rounded education that will allow your
son or daughter to fulfil their potential and flourish in every
aspect of school life. Our Head of Pastoral Care works to ensure
that each child is supported and has their needs met so that they
may excel both socially and academically.
The best way to get a sense of the opportunity and unparalleled
experience we offer is to come to meet our staff and pupils. To
